Bring David Archuleta To Your School – Cincinnati Area

Jeff and Jenn from WKRQ in Cincinnati will bring David Archuleta to your school. Get you classmates together and start collecting pennies. The school that collects the most pennies will have David Archuleta at their school on Friday October 24th.

To Enter:
1. Your principle or teacher must register you school here by Friday October 17th. The principle/teacher should include their name, phone number, the school’s name, address, phone number, plus your principles name, phone, and cell phone numbers.

2. Collect pennies in one gallon plastic milk cartons.

3. Pennies must be turned in by 5:30 PM on Monday October 20th (either at Q102 Studios or location TBA)

All the money collected will be given to Susan G Komen for the Cure.

: Seton High School will rock Friday morning when “American Idol” runner-up David Archuleta visits the West Price Hill school.

Archuleta, 17, will attend an 10:30 a.m. assembly at the all-women’s school, which collected more than $3,000 in pennies for breast cancer research in a WKRQ-FM (101.9) contest.

The singer starts his day on Q102’s Jeff & Jenn Morning Show at 9 a.m.
“The students are really charged. It’s rather electric up here,” says Principal Susan M. Gibbons.

“We’re told he’s willing to answer questions and pose for pictures with groups. We’re hoping he’s going to sing, but we don’t know until he sees our auditorium,” she says.

The 550 students filled 64 one-gallon plastic jugs to win Q102’s “Pennies for Archuleta” contest. They accounted for nearly half of the $6,400 raised from area schools for the Susan G. Komen For The Cure fund.

Archuleta is touring radio stations to promote his “Crush” single and new self-titled Jive Records album due out Nov. 11. When his managers discussed a stop here, Q102 programmers asked if Archuleta would visit the school which donated the most money for breast cancer research, says Patti Marshall, Q102 operations manager.

In the past decade, ’N Sync and Ashlee Simpson (with then boyfriend Ryan Cabrera) have performed at Seton. “We’ve been lucky. Every four years, our students have been able to see national performers,” Gibbons says.

  1. I don’t really understand this whole thing. But what an awesome cause! And I really hope this is, like, a public event. Because it is only 2 hours from me! But I bet it isn’t. Hmmm.

  2. We used to do this when I was in school but the prize was never as cool, lol.

  3. We collected pennies for children charities in my elementary, too. But I think the coolest prize we ever had was Ronald McDonald coming for a visit. And to be quite honest, he freaked me out. haha

  4. david call me 845-598-XXXX

  5. is it safe to leave phone numbers?
